Is this real freedom or is it a curse?
As we live in a dual universe it is always both. There is no freedom without restriction. Freedom means not being restricted. Being restricted means not being free. Total freedom cannot exist in a dual universe as it would lack restriction. There is always a gradient scale between two opposites. For example: from bright light to total darkness.
So it is with information. It can be used for good or evil and all the gradients in between. When it is used for good it should be free to obtain and when it is for evil it should be restricted.
Who determines what is good and what is evil? I solved this problem, to some extent, by defining the term vital information.
Vital Information:
Information that offers possibilities to improve human relations and circumstances without creating too much damage to other life forms and nature in general.
On the internet there still is freedom of information to a certain degree. This will probably change in the near future. It fits into the idea of the centralization of power to put more and more restrictions on what type of information you might want to share on the internet.
You can only control people when you put sufficient restrictions on the spreading of information. Since the few are still controlling the masses these elite few will do anything in their power to stay in control. Restriction of information is therefore high on their agenda.
Within a couple of years from now we will have an internet that is so restricted that new ideas for improvement, that go against corporate interest, will simply be refused for publication. No, I am not joking, this is going to happen whether you like it or not. You can protest it as much as you like, it will happen anyway.
The solution is not to fight it as the elites already have a firm grip on the internet and this grip will become stronger as time goes by. The problem with the internet is that it was never set up to be a medium in control of the people. It was set up to control the people.
The solution is a new internet that is in control of the people and will stay in control of the people.
Is this a better solution than giving all the control to a few people, as our current civilization is structured? Only time will tell. Freedom of information requires greater responsibility for everyone.
Are we, the people, willing to take more responsibility for our future? Will we, the people, do a better job than the few now ruling the world?
Since our rulers aren’t producing a better world I think the time has come for the masses to take more responsibility.
So, are we going to have a new internet? An internet that belongs to the people? The answer is yes!!
